Ceramic Restorations | Inlays & Onlays
Ceramic fillings are tooth-coloured restorative materials and are higher quality than silver fillings or resin fillings (white fillings). Ceramic fillings provide exceptional strength, durability and service in medium to large size fillings Think of ceramic fillings as an immediate procedure that falls in between a filling and a crown. This type of material is used where in the past, a crown (cap) was the only option.
These ceramic fillings are highly aesthetic and allow for optimal conservation of tooth structure, where traditional crowns or caps are necessarily more aggressive in their reduction of tooth structure. The ability to bond these in place allows for the tooth to be strengthened as well. In tooth-coloured restorative materials, this is the finest option currently available and is highly recommended.
